Tim Saunders of Virginia Career Works to Speak at Campbell Connects Kickoff Event

The Campbell County Economic Development Department is pleased to announce that Tim Saunders of Virginia Career Works will be the guest speaker at the Campbell Connects Kickoff Event on Thursday, March 10th at 6:00pm in the Citizen Services Building in Rustburg. Saunders will talk about the free services available through Virginia Career Works and share some of the trends he’s tracking in the local labor market.

You may not have heard of the name, but Virginia Career Works is a great free resource that’s available to help you! If you’re a job seeker, staff at Virginia Career Works can help you search for open positions in our community, create a resume to apply for jobs, and prepare for an interview. If you own a business, Virginia Career Works can advertise your openings and connect you with skilled workers who would be a good fit for your position. Virginia Career Works can also provide long-term support for individuals facing significant barriers to employment.

Campbell Connects is a new initiative from the Economic Development Department to promote regular engagement with the small business owners of the area. Campbell Connects provides businesses the opportunity to learn about upcoming grant programs, business resources, and the free programming offered by other partners in the area. Campbell Connects will convene quarterly at varying locations throughout the County.
