MysticPine Farm
MysticPine Farm is a woman-owned, artisan small farm growing with natural amendments only on Lavendar Lane in the heart of Campbell County. 
Farmer owner and agribusiness entrepreneur, Stephanie Miller farms MysticPine Farm on a 5-acre plot of land as an extension of her love for the land and growing things naturally. Stephanie has been growing for about 16 years starting with community garden and in urban spaces and purchased her farm in 2016. The land had sat fallow for over 20 years before Stephanie began MysticPine Farm.
The farm now sells a wide variety of products, including sustainable and naturally grown produce, chicken and duck eggs, medicinal herbs, flowers, mushrooms as well as value-added products such as soaps, syrups, and teas. Trained in the culinary arts, Stephanie also offers farm tours, volunteer opportunities, community workshops, and classes. Stephanie describes herself as part of the returning generation, one who is coming back to the land after being raised in the north where her grandfather settled during the great migration.
While on your visit to the farm, you can engage in food-focused conversations about ingredients, growing foods using Afro-Indigenous techniques and the healing properties of herbs and flowers. A fourth generation herbalist, Stephanie believes having access to naturally grown and wild-crafted medicine is essential.
"Herbalism; the use of herbs, flowers and roots to provide healing and maintain the systems of the body; is used as the primary source of wellness in many cultures around the world. This knowledge passed down through the generations is integral to many cultural rituals and is the foundation for western medicine," says Stephanie. "I believe what we need to sustain and create balance within ourselves can be found all around us, in the natural world. Peppermint for example is consisted a weed; but when brewed in a tea it can help with a multitude of ailments including improving focus and providing a boost of energy."
