Foster Fuels Acquires Candler Oil Company

Campbell County-based Foster Fuels, Inc. has announced it has purchased fuel provider Candler Oil Company, based in Lynchburg. Foster Fuels, founded over 100 years ago and headquartered in Brookneal, is a family-owned wholesale fuel distributor and emergency fuel management company.

Some services offered by Candler Oil, such as fuel delivery and lubricant sales will be folded into Foster Fuels, while others such as petroleum equipment sales and services will continue to operate under Candler's other brand: Gas Station Supply. Candler Oil Company's Durham Street location in Lynchburg will continue under that name for the 2022-23 heating oil season under the leadership of Darrell St. John, Foster's Senior Vice President and CIO.
