Campbell County Public Library Plans Fall Programs

The Campbell County Public Library is planning programs for children, teens, and adults this fall. All programs are free. To find out more, go to the library website at https://campbellcountylibraries.org/ and follow us on social media.

Below are some of the planned programs:

Storytimes

Come enjoy a storytime for your own group at the library. Storytimes include book readings, songs, rhymes, and other fun activities. They are geared towards children 0 – 5 years old and their families or friends. You may invite whomever you would like to share your 20-minute time slot. Register online for each storytime you would like to attend. Storytimes will be held 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the following locations:

Rustburg: Mondays, September 12, 19, 26; October 3, 10.
Timbrook: Tuesdays, September 13, 20, 27; October 4, 11.
Altavista: Wednesdays, September 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12.

LEGO® + Labrary

Stations will be set up for children to select which STEM activities they would like to try, including LEGO® bricks, circuits, and more. This event is geared towards grades K – 6 and families. This event will be 3 – 5 p.m. on the following dates at these locations:

Altavista: Tuesdays, September 13, October 4, and November 1
Timbrook: Tuesdays, September 20, October 11, and November 8
Rustburg: Tuesdays, September 27, October 18, and November 15

Homeschool Meetup

Our LEGO® + Labrary STEM program opens an hour early just for families who homeschool. Having a great time? Stay past the early bird hour and continue exploring. Grades K – 6 and their families are invited. This event will be 2 – 3 p.m. on the following dates at these locations:

Altavista: Tuesdays, September 13, October 4, and November 1
Timbrook: Tuesdays, September 20, October 11, and November 8
Rustburg: Tuesdays, September 27, October 18, and November 15

Storytime Picnic

We’ll hold Storytime Picnic at the Timbrook Park Pavilion each Thursday, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., through October 27. We will read the selected book on and off throughout the event, do themed crafts, and play yard games. Geared toward ages 0 – 5. The Timbrook Park Pavilion is located between the Timbrook Library and the baseball fields.

Teen Trivia

Calling all teens after school! Come to the Rustburg Library to hang out and have a fun time doing themed trivia and other activities while enjoying snacks. You can play trivia as an individual or a team. Ages 12-17 are welcome. Stop by anytime between 3 – 4 p.m.

Caregiver Burnout and Stress

Learn how to take care of yourself while caregiving at this presentation at Patrick Henry Memorial Library in Brookneal on Tuesday, September 6, 12 – 1 p.m. Learn about causes of burnout, signs of stress, strategies, and resources. Be Safe, Campbell

Your safety is important to us whether you’re at home or on the go. Hear from local Campbell County experts as they give best practices to keep you and your family safe at this program on Wednesday, September 14, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Timbrook Library. For adults.
