Long Island Park, located along the Staunton River in southern Campbell County, affords visitors the opportunity to take in the county's native flora and fauna from the park's walking and bird watching trails. Long Island Park is also a popular "put in" for floats down to Brookneal and "take out" for floats from English Park in Altavista. The park also offers primitive camping amenities for those who wish to break a trip down the Staunton into two days.
