January 26, 2022
Members in Attendance:

- Carter Elliott, Treasurer

- Richard Adams (arrived @6:39 pm)

- Nina Rezai – Economic Development Manager

All Brookneal Campbell County Airport Authority meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Citizen Services Building at 6:30 p.m.
Tony Cihak called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by John Barksdale to approve the minutes of December 1, 2021, seconded by C. P. Elliott and passed unanimously.
Financial:
A motion was made by C.P. Elliott to approve payment of the bills: Century Link (January-Telephone -$82.24 Estimated), and Southside Electric (January-Electricity - $203.82 Estimated), Austin Electrical - $2,455.00), and Virginia Airport Operators Council Members dues $100.00, seconded by John Barksdale and passed unanimously.
Check book balance after current invoices paid is $77,306.76.
Matters from Authority and Staffers:
- A motion was made by Carter Elliott to move forward on the Fuel Operation Proposal as presented with no substantive changes seconded by C.P. Elliott and passed unanimously.
- Nina will check with Mike as to heating procedure at the airport.
- TSA- Security – Tony is in charge & everything is ok at the present time
- Issue a NOTAM when there’s ice on the runway.
- Gate Key Application – for parachute operation - need more information – invite for next meeting.
- Fire retardant – check to see if it’s ok to use.
- Main gate left open.
- Consensus to charge $40.00 tie-down fee.
A motion was made by Carter Elliott to approve airport minimum standards, seconded by Richard Adams and passed unanimously.
Chairman adjourned meeting at 7:30 p.m. Next Meeting is February 23, 2022.
