All Brookneal Campbell County Airport Authority meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Citizens Service Building at 6:30 p.m.
Tony Cihak called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by John Barksdale to approve the minutes of October 20, 2021, seconded by Mary Westling and passed unanimously.
Financial:
A motion was made by Mary Westling to approve payment of the bills: Century Link (November-Telephone -$82.59and December-$82.59-Estimated), and Southside Electric (November-Electricity -$148.19 and December $148.19-Estimated), Austin Electrical-$356.03-Repair AWOS 0015629-IN-credit applied), CC Public Works reimb-$141.34 (flat tire, fuel to bush at airport), Truist(Mike’s credit card $13.49)-waters/crackers at airport) and QT Pod-$1425.00(delete don’t need-Base Network Access; annual cell plan),seconded by John Barksdale and passed unanimously.
Check book balance after current invoices paid is $78,743.95.
Authority:
- Nina will check with Mike as to heating procedure at the airport.
Staff’s Update:
- Not shutting airport down for mowing.
- Request for proposal from purchasing for fuel. Freedom still interested in 2 year contract but renew on a yearly basis.
Manager’s Report:
- Phone call from Union Star- $550,000 earmarked for airport. $110,000 over a 5 year period.
- AWOS up running $356.03 approval by DOAV.
- FAA inspected AWOS – good to go.
- Not to open airport hunting to public.
Chairman adjourned meeting at 7:09 p.m. Next Meeting is January 26, 2022.
