July 28, 2021

Others in Attendance:
- Nina Rezai – Economic Development Manager
All Brookneal Campbell County Airport Authority meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Citizens Service Building at 7:00 p.m.
Tony Cihak called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by John Barksdale to approve the minutes of May 26, 2021, seconded by C.P. Elliott and passed unanimously. (There was no June meeting).
Financial:
A motion was made by John Barksdale to approve payment of the bills: Century Link (June-Telephone -$77.91& July-$81.82), Southside Electric (June-Electricity -$176.16 & July-$178.68), VaRisk 2 (Insurance Coverage 7-1-2021 thru 06/30/2022- $850.00-this will be reflected on FY22 budget), Processor fee: Sam.gov internally changing administer from Mike to Nina ($499.00-paid over phone) and AWOS (tri-annual inspection –Inv #0015515-IN-$1,200.00), seconded by C.P. Elliott and passed unanimously.
Check book balance after current invoices paid is $64,241.83.
Updates:
Consensus for Tony to draft a letter of recommendation for Campbell Paris.
- Discuss possibility of Freedom Aviation in partnership with BCCA.
Manager’s Update:
- Passed Inspection, waiting for reimbursement from the DOVA.
- Weed control is completed.
- Renewed the contract with Austin Electrical.
- New table at airport.
- Two inspections at airport this summer.
A motion was made by C.P. Elliott to proceed with the completion of the Categorical Exclusion required by the FAA, seconded by John Barksdale and passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Carter Elliott to have the August 25, 2021, meeting at the Airport at 6:30 p.m., seconded by John Barksdale and passed unanimously.
Chairman adjourned meeting at 8:05 p.m. Next Meeting is August 25, 2021.
