Turn Your Hike Into A Hunt!

Grab a friend. Gather the kids. Experience the outdoor beauty of Campbell County while participating in the world's largest high-tech treasure hunt: Geocaching. Campbell Caches GeoTrail is designed to offer motivation for more purpose-driven hikers while introducing local visitors to a wide array of beautiful public spaces and fun, authentic Campbell County experiences. This geocaching adventure also serves as a reminder that Campbell County parks are never too far away. Caches can be completed in any order. 

How to Get Started:

  2. Print or pick up the Campbell Caches passport at any Campbell County library or at the Parks & Recreation office.
  3. Visit all 20 Geocaches on the Campbell Caches Trail (Search for caches by CCPRVA to find the list) and collect the 6 digit code located inside each cache. This GeoTrail is designed to provide you with several days of outdoor fun. We encourage you to explore each location thoroughly beyond finding the caches. Snap a spoiler-free pic from the location and send it to econdev@co.campbell.va.us and you may be featured on campbellvirginia.com
  4. When your passport is filled, head over to the Parks & Recreation and turn it in for a special prize. The first 100 completed passport holders will receive a beautiful Campbell Caches challenge coin (only one coin per household) and get added to the list of Certified Campbell Caches GeoTrail Experts!2 Gold coins are stood with different sides showing.
