Solar Energy Project Guidance for Potential Applicants

Campbell County's Board of Supervisors adopted a Solar Energy Projects Guidance Document at their July 2021 Board Meeting. The document was developed at the request of Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission in reference to feedback on solar projects from their May 2021 Joint Work Session. Serving as a guide for potential applicants interested in constructing solar projects in Campbell County, the document covers Site Planning and Land Disturbance, Sequence of Construction, Enhanced Erosion & Sediment Control. 

Paul Harvey, Director of Community Development for Campbell County, stated "The guidance document summarizes areas of concern and how they could be addressed. It is hoped such a document would benefit applicants and all other interested parties during the local government review process."
