In recent years, Campbell County and the surrounding
localities have experienced a large increase in the amount
of new construction for single-family home subdivisions, planned
communities and townhome developments. While the northern
end of the County near the City of Lynchburg largely consists
of these new planned developments, Campbell County still offers
a rural atmosphere with thousands of acres of pasture land
and family farms in the south.
Campbell County borders Leesville Lake in the southwest, and the development of high-end lake homes has increased in the last few years.
