The Towns

Campbell County and the Towns of Altavista and Brookneal provide miles of public water and sewer service to residents and businesses.

Town of Brookneal water

    Average daily use - 125,000 gallons
    Maximum daily capacity - 365.000 gallons
    Storage capacity - 325,000 gallons overhead, 30,000 wet well

Many areas of the County also enjoy high-speed Internet access through a number of systems. The Campbell County Industrial Development Authority acquired grant funding through the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification & Community Revitalization Commission to develop a wireless broadband system in the Brookneal community.
