Campbell County hosted its 3rd annual Business Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Campbell County Technical Center.  Developed in coordination with Governor Tim Kaine's Business Appreciation Week (May 14-20, 2006), the event is held to show the business community Campbell County's appreciation.

With over 55 in attendance to enjoy a catered lunch and a presentation by Mr. Lee Cobb, Executive Director of Virginia's Region 2000 Economic Development Partnership, the 2006 Business Appreciation Lunch was a great success.

At the end of the luncheon, Senator Charles Hawkins, Delegate Kathy Byron and representatives of the Virginia Tobacco Commission and the Campbell County Industrial Development Authority announced Banker Steel Company's plans to locate a new facility in Campbell County.  Click here for the announcement from Governor Kaine's office.
