Formatted HTML message

Greetings, Campbell County Business Community,

We wanted to share information regarding new grant and current grant opportunities for our local businesses to help provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Campbell County CARES Act Reimbursement Grant is currently accepting applications and the Rebuild VA Grant Program will start taking applications on August 10, 2020. Below are the details for both programs:

Campbell County CARES Act Grant

The Campbell County Board of Supervisors has earmarked $1M in federally-issued CARES Act funds to offer as reimbursement grants for local businesses that incurred expenses related to COVID-19.

Campbell County businesses who meet eligibility criteria may apply for up to $5,000 in reimbursement funds via an online grant application. Requests for grant awards over $5,000 will be considered on a case-by-case basis contingent on documentation of adverse impact and need.

Those interested may fill out and submit the Grant Application. Business owners with questions may contact Tyler Carraway, Director of Finance and Strategic Initiatives at (434) 592-9667 or email tscarraway@campbellcountyva.gov.

Rebuild VA Grant Program

Governor Northam recently announced a $70 Million Rebuild VA Small Business Grant Program for small businesses and non-profits whose normal operations were disrupted by COVID-19. Restaurants, brick and mortar retail, exercise and fitness facilities, personal care and personal grooming services, entertainment and public amusement establishments and private campgrounds can apply for the grant program starting August 10, 2020.

Businesses and non-profits that are approved for the Rebuild VA grant may be approved for up to 3 times their average monthly eligible expenses up to a maximum of $10,000.

There will also be three (3) webinars that guide businesses through the application process; you must register for each webinar. The dates and times for these informative webinars are as follows:
